Prototype 00 marks Studio Rat's first independent foray into pneumatics. The piece was produced during a week-long self-directed residency in the Georgian Bay area. Through this exercise the artists produced an inhabitable inflated form and experimented with different inflation methods including various fans, and the wind. The prototype bended with its environment despite its polarising materiality, layering with tree and foliage to create an immersive interior in which the walls, floor and ceiling are one.
